STEIN MART’S GRAND RE-OPENING A GRAND SUCCESS

COMPANY PARTNERS WITH VA TECH

On August 16, 2007, Stein Mart of Roanoke opened its doors in a new location within Tanglewood Mall.  Roanoke is one of two Stein Marts within the corporation that have relocated to a different site in the same community.  The new store has 36,000 renovated square feet with an exterior and interior mall store entrance. The same day that Tanglewood’s Stein Mart opened, the corporate office also opened a brand new store in Kannapolis; the Roanoke store’s re-opening out performed the North Carolina store and ranked high within all corporate stores.  Stein Mart Corporate believes the relocation was a bold, business move and the Roanoke store has been dubbed the “sweetheart” of the corporation.  Stein Mart opened in Roanoke in 1995.

Preceding the grand re-opening, Stein Mart held a Pre-Grand Opening Gala to celebrate on August 14th.  Tickets to the unique event were sold for $10 each and the proceeds were donated to the Roanoke Valley VT Alumni Association April 16th Memorial Scholarship Fund.  Ticket holders were allowed into the event which featured catered food, door prizes, a unique shopping experience, and a special gift for each attendee.  The April 16th Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to provide scholarships to Roanoke-area kids. It is named in honor of local heroes who were affected by the VT tragedy on April 16th.
