FNB Moves Forward Construction of New Tanglewood Office
FNB Corporation, holding company for First National Bank, held the groundbreaking this morning for one of three new
offices scheduled for completion by year end. The new branch will be located at 4203 Electric Road.
After opening the ceremony, Jon Wyatt, Chairman of the FNB Corporation Board, expressed his enthusiasm about
the new office, “As we look around us, we are very excited! With numerous clients living and working on this side of
Roanoke, we look forward to providing a branch close at hand.” Bill Heath, President and CEO of FNB Corporation,
commented that “Roanoke County is a vibrant area with a strong focus on economic growth—coupled with a
continuous emphasis on quality of life.”
With over 2,200 square feet of floor space, the one story facility will have three drives up lanes and a drive up ATM,
designed to meet the needs of both the commercial and retail customers. As Alex Richardson, Regional Manager
for Roanoke Valley stated, “The new Tanglewood office will definitely be a great addition to our network of banks!”
Joe McNamara, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors for Roanoke County, and Mike Wray, Supervisor for the Cave
Spring Magisterial District, attended the ceremony and congratulated FNB on their new facility which is located at
the intersection of Ogden and Electric Roads.
As neighbors to the FNB site, Famous Anthony’s and Panera Bread Company were among the local businesses
that attended celebration, along with Roanoke residents and bank customers.
Also in attendance at the groundbreaking were the partnering companies that will make the building’s construction
a success: Kevin King, Project Manager, RL Price Construction; Stephen Feather, with Interactive Design Group,
Architect; Cindi Walton, Cynde Buckles, and Maria Williams of Complements, Inc., Interior Design.
Numerous board members and employees of the FNB banking family joined the community at this event.
